Another year of Fanime has come to an end. This year I got tons of photos, not sure on variety, I think at the end I really ran out of steam due to saturday’s bombardment. I have to say though that the people letting me shoot was awesome. I may be a bit pickier next year when time comes around and I have to shoot with a nicer telephoto lens. I shot most of my photos with a 50mm telephoto, but at the end I went to my zoom lens since I could not get the shots I wanted with 50mm. I think if I stuck with my 50mm 1.8 it would have been nicer at the end and better on my neck — the 24-120mm was CRAZY heavy, but it did it’s job.
Next thing I need to do is relax. Legs are completely jelly and my mind is still blown. I wish I got some more personal time, but that’s a lesson to be learned. Next year I will be out there on my own and I will be able to do some extra work. I’ll definitely need to buy a better lens. Maybe upgrade the 1.8 to 1.4/1.2 But this year was really educational. I was able to figure out lighting and compensate for it on the fly — trial-by-fire really works!
Well I hope I have the same crazy time next year and I hope to get to photograph more. As of now i’m converting all 1000+ photos into an editable source since nikon is unable to be directly edited by photoshop, I will have to convert to DNG — I pray that it does not all turn bad. Time to modify and work. MORE WORK!!!! boooo. I estimate about 2-4 weeks to complete my fanime pictures.
Stay tuned!!!!
